In China, he lived for ten years, working in luxury and food, learning discipline, precision, and global vision.

His path often led him to India, into the great markets of spices and precious stones.

There he learned to recognize the purity of raw materials, the transparency of a diamond, the difference between a common gem and one worthy of being cut in the world’s capitals of gemology: Surat, Antwerp, Tel Aviv.

Experiences that shaped his eye, taste, and rigor.

In his family, stories circulated about ancient trade routes, spices traveling from India to Europe, merchants crossing oceans carrying aromas, fabrics, and precious stones.

Stories never fully told, yet alive enough to suggest an important heritage.

though deeply Malagasy, Eliezer chose a path of conversion to Judaism.
